The Empire State Chapter of the Soil and Water Conservation Society is the New York branch of the Soil and Water Conservation Society. As a nonprofit organization, we are involved in scientific research and educational outreach. We work with academics institutions, landowners, communities and government bodies to achieve the following objectives:

Enhance the environment

Promote and advance the science of good land use, water use and management

Promote the conservation of all natural resources

Provide a medium of exchange for facts, experience, and thought

Represent, advance, and protect the standards of the science of resource management and conservation
